Yeah baby!! [img]biggrin.gif[/img] Here's an interesting point (or maybe not?!?!) On Michel Camillo's first album, he uses Dave and Joel Rosenblatt at a time that they were best mates and studied and roomed together.
The result.... they sound exactly the same!! It's ridiculous I defy anyone to put on a track that Joel plays on and not think it's vintage Dave! ....check it out.

Wow! Killer piano chops by Camilo. Love that little reference to St. Thomas in there.
I agree with you totally Dazzler, Dave and Joel do sound amazingly similar on that album.
I didn't know they studied & roomed together though, so thanks for the history lesson!

So, its Cliff Almond playing on that wonderful song "Caribe", on One more once.
I was convinced it was Weckl (although I was more focused on the other musicians).
Been on a Camilo kick lately, what a amazing, empassioned (is that even a word ?) musician.

Yes it's Cliff on Caribe.
"Smitty" Smith also plays great on this album.
Weckl put Cliff on the Camilo gig, like he did with Joel Rosenblath.
I think that I can hear a difference between Dave and Joel, I find that the Joel's drumming is "less clean" than Dave at this area anyway...

Is Why Not the song that has the famous Weckl bass drum fill? It is so perfect that Cliff used it.
